THIS IS WHAT
Many plastic pieces and bags do not end up in the trash or recycle bin. They end up in Costa Rica, The Pacific Ocean and many other places around the world.
That is why I collect old plastic bags, cut them into plastic yarn and transform it into crocheted plastic-street-art. I do it to remind myself and others, who bump into the pieces, about this simple question:
will you do to eliminate single use plastics?
My stubborn plan is to use strips of worn out plastic bags to crochet new WHATs and place the WHATs in EVERY country around the world to make some peaceful noise about plastic pollution. Hopefully more people will stop using disposable plastic, for instance by using canvas nets instead of pollutant plastic bags, which end up destroying everything from oceans to animals.
